Wat is IRC ?

IRC is a service running on the Internet. Many of us confuse IRC with the client software, e.g. mIRC, which allows us to access IRC. Frankly there is no best IRC client. Though there is of course a WAR going on. Everyone thinks his client is the best. But then, they say that for sport clubs too.

And a special warm welcome for beginners : goon .. use mIRC because everyone is an expert you get loads of help. And you will need it regardless of the quality of a browser. All clients are crap as long as you need a help page.

Final note to the world : Where are the irc clients which can be used for tutoring. Where can you join a channel and tell a friendly person, please help me, my popups are messing up the client and the person can look through the settings and literally SHOW what went wrong. Sod privacy if that darn thing won't work. Where is the client I can use to learn with by interacting with a teacher or tutor ? Interactive means .. with a helping hand (mouse pointer) where the tutor sees what the pupil does and vice versa. There is so much knowledge out there. Almost anyone can contribute from archiving to Zen. Ever though of having an orchestra of IRC clients ? How about making music together ? Why wasting time in nuking .. start learning !
